There seem to be several threads regarding 'what size prop?' with lots of replies which all point to 'depends on boat size, motor, usage, etc.

However, a thread discussing types/brands seems to be eluding me.
Looking for comments on 3-blade, 4-blade, high dollar SS, budget Aluminum or Sola, Michigan Wheel, Stilleto, Ballistic, etc.

Looking for a discussion on prop technology and performance, not necessarily which prop will fit my boat.

It seems that many boaters will say "you get what you pay for" when it comes to the performance from props. Does a certain manufacturer exhibit technology in their props that make them stand out?

Do you guys see that?
What types of props do you use?
What brands do you use/like?
Why?

I have a Horizon 200 SS w/ VP 5.0fi/sx, so personally interested in that range, but all discussion is wanted.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe post in the "Boating Banter" subject instead? You're probably only going to get Horizon-specific answers in here. Personally, never read the Vista and other forums since I have a Horizon. Don't limit your responses.

Oh, and welcome!

I'm interested in a variable pitch prop from Aerostar Marine. I've read a couple of good testimonials (not one of the ones from their website). One guy said it was the single best thing he ever bought, other than the boat itself. They're a bit on the expensive side though. Maybe next season. I would be interested in opinions.
