Anyone know where to purchase the 2 gas struts that hold the aft pad up while moving seat bottoms up to make up sun pad? P/N on the strut is SPD-GANI-0615-0158-070. I have sent an email to SPD Division who makes them. They don't show this P/N as a good #. I converted it to their new # GINI & still came up W/nothing. Thank you. Regards Kevin |

You might be able to find info such as length and weight that the strut will support on the strut or within the part number. Most auto parts stores handle the struts. Make sure you get the right end connectors. |

The struts that open the engine compartment on on my boat were broken when i bought the boat. I went to o'reilly's and matched them up. |

The Mfg. got back to me & said had to go OEM. Just a pain to get there. Tried Advance Auto yesterday, they don't carry them that small. I'm sure if I had another P/N I could find them. They still hold but can be weak in the heat. Eventually I'll get to a dealer from them or order & pay S&H +tax ![]() |

What length are they? Usually when a company says you HAVE to go OEM, that's code for spend a lot of $$$$. I bet you can find them online. West Marine sells them in their catalog, you need to know the length and the lbs lifting force. I've changed mine 2x in the years I've had the boat. On my boat there was no backing behind the 'glass where the mounts were in the engine compartment, so I had to fix that first. A couple of pieces of 1/2" plywood, glued in with 3M 4200 and through bolted....If your boat does not have backing plates (plywood is fine) I advise you to make some up.... |
