So I have been super busy this summer with work and a move but I still can't get my engine to run properly after the winter. Every time I add throttle up it dies and will die at idle after a minute or two. So far I have replaced the fuel filter, emptied the fuel that was in there and put 25 gallons of new 89 octane in. I also took off the spark arrestor and verified that the injectors were spraying fuel and they were. The engine is a 5.7Gsi with a TBI and no history of problems. I have read about the paint in the condenser problems and am not really sure how to investigate that but have pulled the injectors to see if there was any debris in there or in the fuel filter I replaced. There was not. Any suggestions?

before chasing a lot of non-issues --- I would get a manual, read it and get the proper number for the fuel pressure and where to check it.
you might discover it low --- you might discover it suddenly disappearing or whatever.

thx

If you find the pressure dropping, before investing in a new pump, check the anti-siphon valve at the tank. They are notorious for picking up crud and clogging.

I had a similar problem with my 5.7GSI and it was the low pressure fuel pump.
