Hello, when I bought my boat, the depth sounder/display, which is integrated in the dashpanel did not work. The dealer installed me a new one for free, because he had no possibility to fix it. Yesterday evening I saw, a adapter cable is missing. The wire from the depth sender to the dashpanel is installed, but the plug does not fit. The plug of the cable has less pins than the port on the dashpanel. So I'm convinced I need an adapter. After some internet research I found out, that the manufacturer should be lowrance and Four Winns build it in in their dashpanels. Furthermore there are different adapters on the market, but I don't know, which one I need. perhaps the HARNESS ADAPTER TRANDUCER TA-303. Do I need an additional power cable? |

Just a thought if you can figure out the model number, e-mail Lorance and ask them, if there are any dealers in Germany that sell Lorance you could try calling them. |

Now I've more knowledge about this ominous depthfinder. For connecting the dashpanel to the sender I need a unit called LSM-3 between. On this unit, there is a socket for the depthfinder sender cable, a plug for the dashpanel an power connection. I wrote an e-mail to lowrance to ask for such a unit or an alternative part. |

Today I spent lots of time at the phone and I wrote a few emails for getting a replacement for the depth sounder unit. I got an answer of Lowrance, some of importers, but everybody of them told me, that there is no possibility to get a new one. At least I wrote an e-mail to four winns. Until now I have no answer of them. Maybe they have one somewhere in the stock. |
