I searched the archives for posts about where to mount a fire extinguisher and found them helpful, but they referred to older boats. I'm getting a new 2015 H180 and seeking advice for an accessible spot, but one where I or a passenger won't bash a knee or kick it off its mount. Here are some photos I found online of a 2015 H180. Where would you mount the fire extinguisher? If you're handy with a photo editor, feel free to draw on these photos and re-post. Thanks!

You want to add a second one? The 2014+ H180 have a fixed automatic extinguisher system in the engine compartment and are not required to have a hand held one. |

It has a hand held one, it must by law to be sold. It's usually in a storage bin somewhere not in the open, because who want's to see the fire extinguisher?! |

If something catches fire, I don't want to throw grandma to the floor if I need to access the storage bin she's sitting on. Knowing that, where is the best place to attach it on this boat? Also, if I do decide to keep it in a bin, do people screw them into a storage bin wall or just let them bounce around? Thanks! |

If the boat catches fire throw grandma overboard. I wouldn't be concerned with adding a secondary extinguisher. |

On my 2014 H180 I/O, the fire extinguisher came with the boat and is mounted right under the drivers dash towards the left side. It is easily accessible for me, just hidden out of view. The mount it came with makes it very easy to take off and and re-install after trying it a couple times. I find that to be a good spot because you do not have to open a compartment to access it. |

You want the Fire Extinguisher hidden. It should be out in plan view so that anyone can just grab it and use it at a moments notice. |

I have the 190, basically the same boat. Mine is mounted on the floor to the right of the driver seat, just in front the foot rest for the back seat. I'll try to send a pic if I can. |
