And as a bonus I get to use them to hold my grill and my filet table!

I installed a pair of rod holders similar to these on my '95 190. The rod holders are removable, leaving just the base, which is not too much of an obstacle. You may even be able to use them for mounting other accessories. Remember that not all rod holder brands are interchangeable with other brands of bases. Pick a good brand. I was able to thru bolt 3 of the 4 hole locations, but had to use a wood screw on the other hole location. Plan ahead and see what will work.

There was just enough room to mount the base bracket on the inside wall vertical section of fiberglass at the very back end of the side window frame and just above the vinyl upholstered side panel. I included a picture of someone else's boat to show the area.

The boat will only slow down to about 3.7 or 3.8 mph at idle. I was able to get it down to about 1.7mph using a pair trolling bags. Depending on how they are rigged and weather conditions, boat handling can be OK or can be a challenge.
