I bought a 2000 Horizon 180 in the fall so this is my first summer with the boat. The throttle control feels a little "sticky". Sometimes difficult to speed up or slow down. Not sure how to explain but I've read that I might need to have the throttle cable lubricated. Any advice would be great. Thanks. |

In addition to the lubrication, you might need to adjust the friction brake. I snipped a part of the manual for you: ![]() |

or replace the cables. They don't last forever. |

I replaced mine recently to fix a similar issue. Prior to ordering the cable I disconnected the shift cable from the shifter and tested. Without experiencing the symptoms I was confident I was on the right track. If the boat is out of the water, and a volvo, disconnect from out drive as a test as well. |
