I have been reading and learning a lot about Horizons/Four winns from this forum. I came across this one for sale near me. I emailed the listing and owner sent me this info on it...
"...the boat does not take on any water. It runs and shifts as it should, interior is clean, and hull is solid. However, it does have some small issues. When you drop from a high speed down to an idle it tends to stall. This doesn't happen when you idle down slowly. Other than that the it runs very solid and the engine has no problems. I've replaced the steering wheel assembly, steering cable, and the power steering actuator, but the steering is a little stiff at higher speed. The only thing left is the power steering pump which is fairly cheap. Ive put new horn, fuel cap, fuel gauge sending unit also on the boat."
I've read on the forum her about the stalling issue some, but seen different ideas. Maybe the accelerator pump, maybe fuel filter.
Wondering thoughts on how big of a "potential fix/problem?"
here's the listing: 5.0 cobra efi, 1994 220 Horizon
