Hi everyone, my wife and I just picked up a 1999 190 Horizon. It's in great shape, runs good and the guy threw in lots of extras with it. The one thing that seems to missing is the stern light. Now I have several of them from various other boats I've had over the years and they all have the standard 2 pin connection on the bottom. Well, looking down into the socket on the 190, it looks different. It's made by Attwood and I've found replacement sockets online but not the stern light. I saw mention of it being called a "half moon style" light. Does anyone have any info on where I can get one? If I can't find one I'll probably just replace the socket but I figured I'd post here first. Thanks

I think I have read that some owners have swapped out the socket for a standard socket. However, you should be able to find the right stern light.

Does this look like the right one?

No, that's the standard style that I have about 3 extra of. It looks like this:

There is a pic of the end of the light that fits

I have the same anchor light as the OP, and it does not work well. (it often looses contact as the pole rocks back and forth). The plug and socket are both like a half moon or "D" shape, and the contacts are on the flat side of the "D". I have never seen a replacement in any of the stores or online so far.

I gave up and bought a replacement that included a new socket. Now, just need to find time to install it!

Yeah, I am going to go that route as well. All I have to buy is the socket, I have spare lights. Attwood sells a direct replacement which should use the sme screw holes. Thanks!
