Kicking around the idea of converting over from carb to fuel injection on my 87. Not sure if there is a kit out there for it or where to even get it. I figured if anyone has done it someone on here has.

Let me know what you think.

Your thread title doesn't match your question?!
Personally, I'd leave it as a carb and replace your points style ignition with a marine rated electronic one.

MSD Ignition makes a kit to convert from carb to fuel injection. I was just curious if anyone has tackled this task.

While the idea is attractive, unless their system is well engineered and supported (ie if you have trouble, who is going to understand how to sort it out) it could make your boat less reliable. A carb for the most part can always be rebuilt or at most replaced and the boat will run. A simple points and condenser ignition while it requires maintenance, is very easy to troubleshoot and repair. If you do choose to up grade to an electronic ignition system make sure it is compatible with your shift interrupt system.

IIRC, the MSD units are not Coast Guard Approved for Marine Use in an enclosed compartment.
