My 4.3 Vortec 2bbl carb has finally succumbed to our friend Ethanol....after 15 years. It's never been off the boat at 150 hrs. but it's time. We ran hard all summer and let it sit most of August. Took a little end of the season break for 5-days and it's loading-up horribly at and right off idle. Black-smoke, rings on the water ect. Stretch her legs and shes fine. Not the choke. Checked that. Need a re-build kit. I've sorta searched around but have not been able to pin-down a marine-specific kit. |

You will have to research your specific PNs but this what I used on my holley when I needed a rebuild. Carb kit; Sierra # 18-7244 (was OEM 3854106 was OEM 987317) http://www.explosivepowersports.com/sie ... fgodThAAkg Need to make sure power valve is GREEN in color as that is the one that is appropriate for the new gas. |
