I purchased a 2003 Horizon 200 with the Volvo 5.0 GXi 270. I am trying to reconcile issues that lead me to believe that it is actually a 190. While difficult to measure, the LOA appears to be 19'5". There is no "walk through storage locker" in the walk-through as per the owners manual that lists this feature as standard on the 200. The radio cover opens from the bottom; the manual lists this as a feature of the 180 and 190 while the 200 is shown as a push open from the top. The drivers seat is a captains swivel while the port side is two-faced that reclines.

On the other hand, the exterior side medallions both starboard and port are "Horizon 200" and the 270 hp engine also appears to be one of the options available only on the 200 as opposed to the 180 and 190.

I love the boat...got a good deal with very low hours. But the inconsistencies have me puzzled. I wonder if the dealer or original owner changed the medallions to "200"? And also ordered the larger engine? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Very Interesting.
You could have a Four Winns Dealer look up your Hull Identification Number.

I don't know what year that model changed. On my Horizon 240 I have the interesting situation where mine is a year 2000 (including the HIN#), but it is the last of the 1996-1999 model types. Later in 2000 a new model Horizon 240 came out (different from mine).

Have a look here.
In the pix they do look very similar. The 190 is 18.6" without the extended swim platform, the 200 is 19.6" without it as you said.
Interestingly, the older boats were sometimes longer than their model # would suggest. My '88 H-200 is 20'9" (no extended platform was available back then).

the last 2 digits of the HIN on the starboard stern are the year.

Thanks for the responses...and for the links to the catalogs. The owners manual from the FW archives is not consistent with the catalog...thus my confusion. I obviously own a 2003 200 H with stepped up engine and a unique seating arraignment. The catalog shows the correct dimensions.

Thanks for the quick response and useful information.

You're welcome. I just opened up the winter cover on mine, time to start getting it ready. Charged batteries and had power to all circuits, which made me happy because with older boats its not unusual for things to mysteriously stop working over the winter!
