I know that this topic has been discussed before. when running at about 1000 rpm' and throttling back down to the neutral detent my Tack drops rapidly down to 400-500 rpm' then accelerates up to 800 +++Rpm'S then back to engine idle speed, runs rough for a bit then normal again.
I removed the IAC valve and cleaned with throttle body spray, and re-installed. NO change....
I pressure checked both L/P pump( 12-13 psi). H/P pump 32 Psi.
My question is should I purchase an IAC valve, or a new Fuel Cell?
Any other suggestion?

My 2010 H210 w/ a Merc 5.0 mpi did a very similar thing with the rpms when going to idle. Last summer, I changed the IAC Valve - it didn't do it nearly as much, but still on occasion did it. The difference with mine is it will stall after revving back up to about 800 rpm's. It's only annoying when I'm trying to dock the boat and I'm dead in the water for a minute.... I know mine is a different motor, but I'm tuned in to this discussion!

Thanks for your reply, after reading other post regarding fuel issues with this type engine as soon as I can put it on the water and run it , I'll see how she responds. Most likely I'll have to install a new IAC
as well. I'll keep you posted
