On the starboard side of my bow scuff plate there is a hole that goes through the plate and all the way through the fiberglass of the bow. Is there a bolt or something that should be in there? To me this just looks like a good place to take on water.

Anchor locker drain hole? I'm not familiar with your boat model but both boats I've owned have drain holes for the anchor locker in that area.

Yep, anchor locker drain. It'll also let a bit of water in sometimes. If you find some water in the bilge and can't explain where it came from, that's probably it.

Thanks guys! I never thought much of it until I was wakeboarding last weekend and realized how low the bow of the boat gets when turning around/stopping.

jdpber - It's a pretty beefy plate. I really like the way it looks on the boat. Here are a couple shots of it.

did you ad it or did it come from the factory? may have to be making a phone call. I do have a sheer line that may be int he way.. also in this picture you can see the deflector plate over my drain hole. It is simply a cable plate. do you mind taking the ruff measurements of the plate based off of the EYE

I'm the second owner of the boat, but I believe it was a factory option. You can find it here: http://www.fourwinns.com/accessories.aspx#Tab714 It says it fits "All open bow boats '96-Current excluding '96-'98 Horizon QX/RX, 170 Horizon, 170/180 Freedom & '06 180/190 Horizon"

Here are measurements based off of the center of the eye. These are rough as it was hard to tell if I was exactly centered on the eye as the roller was in the way.

Correct, and not a cheap one.

thanks. I will inquire about one. I found this one yesterday that i need to check the measurements as i think it may work and i know it will be less than what FW most likely wants.
