On the starboard side of my bow scuff plate there is a hole that goes through the plate and all the way through the fiberglass of the bow. Is there a bolt or something that should be in there? To me this just looks like a good place to take on water. |

Anchor locker drain hole? I'm not familiar with your boat model but both boats I've owned have drain holes for the anchor locker in that area. |

Yep, anchor locker drain. It'll also let a bit of water in sometimes. If you find some water in the bilge and can't explain where it came from, that's probably it. |

Thanks guys! I never thought much of it until I was wakeboarding last weekend and realized how low the bow of the boat gets when turning around/stopping. jdpber - It's a pretty beefy plate. I really like the way it looks on the boat. Here are a couple shots of it. |

I'm the second owner of the boat, but I believe it was a factory option. You can find it here: http://www.fourwinns.com/accessories.aspx#Tab714 It says it fits "All open bow boats '96-Current excluding '96-'98 Horizon QX/RX, 170 Horizon, 170/180 Freedom & '06 180/190 Horizon" Here are measurements based off of the center of the eye. These are rough as it was hard to tell if I was exactly centered on the eye as the roller was in the way. |

thanks. I will inquire about one. I found this one yesterday that i need to check the measurements as i think it may work and i know it will be less than what FW most likely wants. |
