Bought a 1990 180 with 5.0 omc cobra and 4.3 omc cobra outdrive. Motor runs smooth but no hole shot. Running 30 mph at 4400 rpm. Prop is 14 1/4 x 19. With 3 adults in the boat it's a dog trying to get a skier up. Thanks!

Just read in the manual at WOT top speed around 50mph at 4400 rpm. I'm only getting 30mph. Can't be all the prop. Horsepower problem?

Horse power problem. What is the gear ratio on that drive. my 5.0 is 1.6 to 1.
