Bought a 1990 180 with 5.0 omc cobra and 4.3 omc cobra outdrive. Motor runs smooth but no hole shot. Running 30 mph at 4400 rpm. Prop is 14 1/4 x 19. With 3 adults in the boat it's a dog trying to get a skier up. Thanks! Just read in the manual at WOT top speed around 50mph at 4400 rpm. I'm only getting 30mph. Can't be all the prop. Horsepower problem? |

Horse power problem. What is the gear ratio on that drive. my 5.0 is 1.6 to 1. |
