Don't think yours is a 1980, the Cobra did not come out till '86, used till '93. What info are you looking for specifically? I have a lot of tech information on the OMC Cobra series, mine is an '88 but I have the factory shop manual for all models made that year.

If the fuel filter base says OMC on it the part number is
502905 but I usually use the Sierra aftermarket # 18-7946

The GM engines (distributor in the rear) also used a small filter in the inlet of the carb, on the Rochester models, not sure if the Ford engines (distributor in the front) also had this with the Holley carbs. What do you have?
I usually replace the large water separating filter each season and only do the small filter in the base of the carb when I rebuild the carb because the large filter is ahead of it and will catch more stuff than those small filters.

He does seem to have some phone problems when it comes to what boat he has. LouC, it's a 1990.

Just bought 1990 180 Horizon with cobra 5.0 and cobra 4.3 outdrive. At WOT getting 4400 rpm which matches sticker on Motor but only running 30mph instead of 50 mph like manual states. Has 19 pitch prop, but is a dog on the hole shot. Verified mph with GPS. Sounds like running smoothly but something is not right.

And it is the Ford. Any other links or info would be great. To check the flapper valve in the exhaust bellows, what's the easiest to disconnect and check? I have a mechanics camera I can feed down.

That website I linked above has the OE parts for your engine & drive.
Sierra & GLM also make many parts for Cobras some of which are not available from BRP any longer.
To check the flappers you need to remove the exhaust riser. Drain any water out of the manifold first; also pick up a set of mani to riser gaskets. You will have to use some silicone spray and small screw drivers to pry loos the exhaust hoses ; they tend to get baked on. It will be a bit of a struggle. I use a hair dryer to heatvem up a bit.
The flappers are easy to install but it can be tricky to get the old ones out. I had to pull the drive to get them out.

In this pic, you can see the upper end of the Y pipe next to the big silver work light. This is from when I changed the manifolds last in 2011. On my boat I have the OMC one piece V6 manifolds so to get them off, I have to lube up the upper end of the Y pipe with silicone, loosen the lower exhaust hoses and slide them down so the upper ones will come off of the manifold/riser units.
