Not sure if this Horizon 190 specific, but I managed to destroy the mounting of the windshield support bar and I am having trouble to find a replacement. A couple of calls to dealers were unsuccessful and also not quite sure what the term is for this part so I can look online. Any idea which way/how to look for it? Below a picture for clarification. The ball is about 14mm in diameter, and the mount is about 40mm in total length.

Vintage Beauty is correct. I did some quick research. The patent was registered to Water Bonnet, Inc which is now owned by TaylorMade. Which lead me to: http://www.taylormarine.com/hardware/pa ... index.html “Please click on an image below for an expanded view and to identify which type of support bar you need. Note that the easiest way to tell the difference is by the end piece or "foot" that is attached. If your foot doesn't match what you see here, then please contact us: tms@taylormadesystems.com or call 518-773-0636. Also, when ordering a replacement, we will need the exact tube lenth (not including the cap, insert or feet).” |

LOL our '98 Jeep is like that. All the fittings on the body are metric and the fittings on the really old stuff, like the ancient 4.0 six, and Dana axles is US spec. My 07 is all metric. The boat, of course all US. The way I remember the conversions is a meter is a bit more than a yard, a CM is about 3/8ths of an inch (which is 25.4mm) etc. A foot, about 30 cm, 6" about 15 cm and so on. I try to explain to people the advantage to working 100% in metric, NO fractions lol, at least not having to find LCDs. On the temp gauge on my boat its easier to read the metric markings due to how they are spaced, so I learned that 70 C =158 F and 80 C=175 F. My engine runs between these two temps and only hits 175 after a long run on plane. I started with metric back in '72 because my first vehicles were air cooled VWs, but always had US tools too because the family cars were full size GMs. Interesting tidbits most wheel rims are still measured in inches lug nuts 3/4"=19mm |
