1995 fourwinns 351omc last wknd while boating my bilge pump light in the dash went on but dim and pump was running slow, i can still turn it on from the dim switch and it starts running fast (normal)...what can be the problem?? |

I unbolted the bilge from the floor and the float switch fell apart as I lifted it so I need to replace obviously, so I purchased one and connected it now everything works properly.. |

Glad you fixed it. Sorry we were no help. The dim light and slow pump make it sound like there was "some" connection between contacts, probably due to some conductive sludge touching both contacts. |

that's seems to have been the problem sludge was inside the switch and it was rusted inside..thnx for the reply |
