:shock: I was washing my boat this afternoon and must have got some water in the Trim Switch :!:

I thought it was my newly installed BILGE pump :idea: making all the noise :!:

However It was my stern drive and prop being lowered into the ground :!: Thank goodness the soil was wet.

Any one else ever have this happen :?: :?: :shock:

Which drive & which switch? Throttle switch or transom switch?

That doesn't sound right to me, I see many outboard powered boats (with similar throttle controls) sit out in the weather on moorings here and I don't think that they experience that. I wonder if it may be a coincedence and you have a sticking trim relay.

I used to have a similar problem. My trim switch would stick when i would press it. I used to lightly tap it up and down to adjust the wake and it would stick. Took it into the dealer and they fixed it under warantee.
