Post subject:  Bow cushion 2008 H210

I bought my boat a couple of years ago with the bow cushion missing. There's one for grabs on ebay for $49 but made for a 2007 H200. The part number for my 210 is 135-23250 and the one for sale is 135-23249 so obviously different, smaller I presume. I wonder how much smaller it is, maybe it would still be good enough. Any thoughts or suggestions?

No idea on exact size but general shape is same. I didn't see the snaps on the eBay cushion though....i see they will charge 19 dollars to ship, which sure seems high.

Personally I wouldn't pay the 68 dollars for that used cushion with minor tears in it being it will likely not fit exact. I don't think mine has a hard backing like that one does.

I would lay some paper and trace shape and see what a local shop would charge personally.

Agreed I'd just take the other one to a good marine upholstery shop and pay them to duplicate it in mirror image. I replaced most of the backing on my bow seating this past 2 years, might have one more one left I still have to do.

My wife was just telling me about the snaps, good point! I wonder if I can get it directly from Four Winns, I’ll check it out.

I’ve never had to deal with a local shop, you mean a marine shop I guess? I’m still pretty green in the boating world but I’m learning, I do as much as I can myself.

I have a good marine upholstery guy local to me. A place that does auto upholstery, custom car interiors, etc can easily do marine work. It's pretty simple for them. When I bought this boat back in '02 I had to replace all of the bow cushions, which he did. I also replaced all the seating myself. He made a bow and cockpit cover for me back in '03 that I am still using now. The wood backing for all the bow seating was rotting by about 2 summers ago so I replaced most of it with pressure treated plywood. I did this with the big sun pad backing about 10 years ago and it's still solid now. Use monel staples because they will not rust.

Maybe they will be able to make one with a traced shape as tx h210ss suggested as there is only one cushion with this shape in the bow.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Being on the boat is only half the fun, we get to take care and maintain/improve it also! 8) Learn something new all the time.

I also have questions about the blue paint fading/hazy one side of the hull and my stiff (I think) throttle handle. I’ll start new threads when the snow melts and I can have access to the boat.

I have the exact cushion and can take pics and measurements to accompany your template if you want. I can do it this weekend if so...just pm me with your email if that would help any.

Can trace a template from cushion and send to you.

Thanks TX, that’s really nice of you. I’ll continue looking a bit on the net, if not I’ll start looking for a shop in my area and message you then. This community is really great :)

I just saw this thread -- I don't know if you resolved your cushion problem, but I just checked our on-line Four Winns parts catalog and it shows that part # as being available from Four Winns. It might take a while because it is an "in house manifactured part." You can call your local dealer or give us a call at Hawk's Marine. Our parts person doesn't work weekends and I don't want to misquote anything, but I believe the part cost is only a bit more than the used one on E-Bay.

Thanks for checking this out Mike. I already asked for a quote on the Four Winns site but it seems my local dealer was closed for the season. I think they're scheduled to open this week so I might get the quote then. I'm curious to see if the canadian price will be much higher than the USA one, I might call Hawk's if it is just to compare.
