After looking at boat after boat with rotted transoms, stringers, engine mounts, and floors, I think I've finally found the one.

2006 H200, Volvo Penta 5.0 GXi/SX, 370 hours. Owned by a mechanic who bought it from the original owner at 12 hours in 2006. Stored dry (hopefully) under two covers.

I see in the brochure that it lists "fiberglass stringers," but nothing on the transom. I know the floor is glassed with the snap-in carpets. I also checked on here and couldn't find anything about the newer boats rotting out, only the older ones with the carpet over the plywood decking.

You generally won't see a problem on newer boats that have been cared for and maintained. Even if your boat sat in the water 6 months of the year, I would not expect a soft transom.

I confirmed with Four Winns that the 2006 H200 has a composite transom in addition to the fiberglass stringers and floor. That combined with a gel-coated bilge will make for a boat that should last for decades with proper care.
