So, I ordered some automatic trim tabs to try to help with my listing problem. Now I have another problem. The 10" tabs will not fit where they are supposed to because they will hit the swim ladder. Now what the heck do I do? I could move them more central but I'm afraid they won't be nearly as effective.

Anyone solved this issue?

I have a 1999 Horizon 180

I'm replying but have no clue what solution is on this one as I don't have tabs. Maybe getting more money for extended platform that would push the ladder back more.... big question is why the list? Can it be that shifting weight may solve without using tabs... batteries are usual culprit

Not sure batteries are the culprit for the listing in this case. Boat looks to be the same as mine - '99 H180 w/ OB.
Battery(ies) are mounted in the center in front of the motor on the outboard models. I don't have a listing issue w/ mine, so I can't offer any suggestions either. But it sounds like the listing problem needs to be looked into to find the culprit.

Any suggestions on the listing issue would really be appreciated. As kmack states, the battery is dead center in front of the outboard. The boat sits perfect in the water at rest and it's not until I hit plane that it lists (and it's bad). This is my second full season with this boat so I haven't had it too long bit this is driving me nuts)

It's not the greatest pic, but just above the prop is the "torque tab" (what I call it). Could it be possible that yours is out of adjustment/alignment? I know that it's there to compensate for the prop torque and I know it affects the steering, but maybe it could cause some of the listing? :?:

I have a fin/tail on mine also, but I never had any listing issues before that install. I can't think of anything else that would have the effect you have after getting on plane.

ETA: Which way is the boat listing? With just you on board or is it the same regardless of the number of passengers & weight on board?
