i have a 2000 Volvo Penta 5.0 GL, can anyone recommend a good manual? is clymer all you can find for these? seems google searching only brings that one up. although on volvo pentas site i did find motor manuals that were pretty decent for now. http://www.clymer.com/Book.aspx?bid=649 ... +1994-2000 thanks |

I recommend Seloc over Clymer. Go to eBay and search for "Seloc Volvo". Be sure to read the listing details before buying; some of them are for 4 cylinder only, etc. I've found that there is no single manual that covers everything - including the factory shop manuals. I have a set of those, and the Seloc, and I've had to refer to both of them on more than one occasion to get an answer. |

I've got a SELOC for an old outboard motor I have on my little aluminum fishing boat. It was outstanding. Mike is right in that there isn't one that seems to be comprehensive. I've compared Clymer and SELOC for what I've got, though, and the SELOC was just a bit better. That being said, I'd buy a Clymer if that was all I could get. It was good as well. SELOC was just a bit better, IMHO. |
