Ordered an SL262 back on Mar 4th, boat enters production tomorrow. Any idea what the going rate (per mile) is for shipping this boat on its trailer? |

From the factory to your dealer, or from the dealer to you? If the former, it's part of the cost of the boat purchase. If the latter, you'd need to call a transporter for pricing. Cougarcruiser should be able to give you a good idea. |

Shipping will totally depend on the direction of travel, price of gas, and size of shipment. An SL262... you are probably better off hiring a company to pick up the boat and pull it with a truck - rather than a flatbed trailer. This could also be affected whether or not you have an arch. Check out http://www.uship.com -- they are owned by eBay. I shipped my H240 from New Hampshire to Seattle (3300 miles or so). It was shipped by just pulling the trailer... the company used 3/4 ton trucks to pull boats around. My price was $2600. With gas prices going up... shipping is goind to spendy. I think the west coast to east coast hauls are cheaper though also... just depends on the shipper. |
