Guys where have you mounted your speakers in your 180. I have the standard two under the dash which are ok but I want more sound for other people but don't want to cut into the fiberglass... What idea's have you had?

If you have sunsport seating I like installing additional speakers under the rear bench seat facing forward. One on each side, their mounted into the starboard plastic material instead of your fiberglass. If you have standard seating and you don't want to cut into fiberglass you could cut up some boards like the ones mounted under the console and carpet them with the same carpet as the other ones. Then mount your speakers in this and secure them to the plastic trim pieces on the edges of the floor that run down the sides of the cockpit. Place them behind the trim pieces, drill thru the trim piece and the carpeted board and then coutersink the plastic and thru bolt using stainless pan heads and fender washers and nylock nuts on the back. I will have to take a look, but you may also be able to order the same boards they use under the consoles and just secure them to the boat at the bottom of the board instead of the middle. It looks as if they should be under $20 each and that would save you time and trying to find the carpet and fabricating the boards. I'll let you know and give you part numbers to have your dealer order if you would like...

I added 2 more under my rear bench seat. It made a big difference in filling out the sound in the cockpit area. I'm happy with it so far.
