I have been reading and contributing to various threads in this forum. So now it is time to put the wheels in motion I'm off to the bank today to arrange the $$$$ needed to buy a H180. Thanks everyone for your input over the last couple of months.
It is kind of scary as this is the largest non real estate purchase we have ever made. Remember me and the admiral in your prayers this afternoon

Great stuff ardy, I hope your bank visit goes as planned.

We had the same feelings when we purchased last year. Believe me, that first day out on the new boat makes all the scary feelings go away!

Ahh, the bank is the cakewalk - they are dying to give you money. Over here in North America you the furhter in debt you can appear the more you can get!
Hmm. For me the scariest was actually running the new boat for the first time. Kind of like the first time you hold your first child - OK well maybe not exactly like that - you don't want to cry over your new boat! You get the idea . . .
Its not long before the euphoria of speed, fresh air and wide open space on the water take over and all is well in the universe. The international secret handshake (" the wave") of being part of a free community suddenly makes sense and you can never go back. Soon you will be one of us  and our numbers are growing . . . the day will come where we will outnumber the "landies" and a brave new world will emerge . . . . .  < trying to convey evil laughing?

All went well, this time next month try not to look too eager when in the boat shop
They say there are 2 good days of boat ownership ; the day you buy one and the day you sell it .As for me I am on day 3
and since my Dad introduced me to boating 36 years ago I have loved boating ever since
