Now that we have the boat I can't use my old coupler lock when the trailer is hooked up to Jeep. Anyone have a lock they use?

I have the lock that my Dealer says they just discovered. It is a pin that goes through the tongue and uses a key. It works when the trailer is unhooked and when it is on you vehicle. i can get you more details when i go home if you would like. What kind of jeep do you tow with?

I bought one for my trailer tongue. It was too short but would have otherwise been fine I think. It was Stainless (why I got it) but there is a chromed version that is longer and I suspect will work out. Concievably the lock would work on or off the hitch since you remove the ability to open the coupler. Of course they do not seem like bulletproof security but at least they may be enough deterrnet that a thief would move on to something thats less of a hassel. God knows thievs are not the most ambitious group right?

Master Lock makes them and they are very affordable - like $8 - $10 bucks at HomeDepot or WallyWorld.

Don't get this one: :(

I got the second one. Haven't tried it as of yet though...

Had the first and +1 - isn't long enough.

Trimax UMAX100 for the coupler.
Trimax stainless locking receiver pin and coupler lock pins, all keyed the same as the UMAX100.

go to e-trailer and buy the Trailer Coupler Lock - Deadbolt Style for Surge Brake with 3-3/8" Span. This is an exact fit for the low profile actuator on four winns trailers. It seems long, but with the lip on the tongue, you need the full 3-3/8 span to fit thru the hole (it will replace the safety pin)

Took the pin that came W/trailer off the spring steel ring, drilled hole in the plastic cap of the lock installed the ring through it. Now I won't loose the pin.
