You shouldn't be posting Mike, I believe you have a 230 to wash and wax. |

Looks great! It's good to have another area boater on the forum. I was in Topeka yesterday for work, and just washed and waxed mine today. I'm headed out to get some alcohol and install my keel guard. Tommorrow I will be up at stump-ville skiing! |

Ahh mike, but I am now. Love the blackberry. 4 adults 2 kids and a lot of fun. Can't figure out the camera phone or I'd take pics. Waters finally nice no wind, if I could just get rid of some jet skis it would be perfect. |

LOL - Rule #1 on my boat: All phones are turned off ![]() My neighbor across the street is washing his boat down right now, having just gotten back from Perry. He said the water is 6' high!? I hadn't heard that; that would put the state park ramp where we usually go under water, I believe. |

Well another sucessful trip, beautiful day on the lake. As far as Perry is concerned the water is high and you can see the debris line at the state park where the ramp and parking lot was underwater. It's still high but coming down. Coming from your part of the country I don't know where you put in. My preference is Highway 24 to Highway 237. About four miles and you come to the park office. You can turn right and go to the campsites and beach house road where the cabins were built. You can also turn left and go through a park area and to another boat house that puts you in across the inlet from the marina. You can also continue straight and go to the marina. My preference has always been to turn left at the park office. The ramp is about the same but it's hardly used like the other ramps and the dock is actually better. The marina is nice but soooo busy. Also it's closer to the house and running to the marina is just minutes. Medium traffic on the lake today and the water is now completely warm enough. Lake is a little dirty from the debris and run off from being up so high but still one of the premier spots in this part of the state. Oh and Mike while I have great appreciation for your rule and wish I could implement it. Owning two businesses one being insurance during storm season I just can't pull off that luxury. Two weeks a year I leave town and then it gets turned off but the rest of the time it's always there. Look forward to seeing you KC guys out there. Like I said we are 15-20 min. away from dropping in the water anytime. Keep me informed when your coming, love to see the "big" boats playin. |

LOL, our big boat sits on the hook quite a bit. The kids love to swim and we love to just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Actually, although it's out of the way, we always launch at state park. The "ramp" (it can barely be called that) is wide and shallow, and parking is super easy. My wife appreciates that as she does the truck duties at the ramp. But - from the directions you described, it sounds like you use state park also - turn left off 237 at the office? Anyway, I hear you on the phone thing. I was in management for a great many years and know how it is. Getting out of it was one of the best decisions I ever made ![]() |
