I am having problems with my depth sounder. It seems to be reading way off. Reading depths of 400-500 ft when depth is less than 100ft. Any suggestions? IS there some way to calibrate it. My boat is a 1998 Horizon RS if that helps.

Thanks,

Jason

Have you tried wiping off the transducer? They can be pretty sensitive to any debris that gets caught or builds up under them. Mine even gets thrown off if I get air bubbles under it.

Thanks, I'll get under there and check it out!

How does it do when depths are less than 10' or so?

I'm not sure. Can I test this with the boat out of the water?
