hey guy's i have a horizon with a 2001 volvo 3.0- the tach is stuck at 3000 rpm- and ideas on how to get it going again would be great thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK so now I see that your trim gauge and your tach aren't working right. If you have the VDO gauge package, I'd start by making sure the helm is grounded very well.

hey thanks mike- the gauge package is by faria- the speedo and fuel gauge work fine!! where would i find the helm ground? the ground into the fuse panel? it seems clean and tight- thanks for any ideas-cheers graham

I apologize - I thought you posted in another thread that you had the VDO cluster. Those seem to be particularly sensitive to grounding.

independent of the maker, mike is right check your ground. Also check out your canon plug that is your harness to your gauges. Mine was just giving me similiar issues and a good cleaning did the trick.

okay i rapped it really hard and the needle dropped back down and is functioning fine-guess i'll need to replace it at some point- my trim gauge on the other hand is still nfg- it does recieve power and the needle jumps on startup- just doesn't follow the drive's movement. .thanks for the help cheers

That might be your sender. Volvo trim senders in that era fail too frequently.
