I had a great few days with some family on Lake Murray, OK...until I got back to my storage stall in Dallas. Apparently I left my nice snap-on covers rolled up on the sunpad...and then took off down the highway. So, if any of you happen to see a bunch of red canvas on I-35 somewhere between Lewisville and Oklahoma, it's mine. Anyone know how much it'll cost me to replace?

Arggh...

Ouch! Exact price will depend on which boat model, but new cockpit & bow covers from FW will start at around $400 I think. You might call Great Lakes Boat Top Co. and see if you can buy them direct.

What you have to realize is, I'm making most of it up as I go. Image That's how I pad my post count ;) .

Seriously, though, there are guys on this board and others who have forgotten more than I'll ever know.

Thank you Ardy, but I only know what I know because I want to know all about my boat. Start asking me a bunch of questions about the wiring on a Vista and you'll promptly get a, "Huh?"

Thanks Mike. I have a 2007 210 Horizon and the last year Great Lakes has is 2006. I believe it is the same, right?

The cut of the canvas should be the same, but if you're going to do this yourself you'll need to install your own snaps in order to match the locations on your boat, so you'll need to make sure the covers come snapless. Great Lakes also sells the snaps and a great tool for installing them (about $50 for the tool).

Putting the snaps on the bow cover probably wouldn't be a big project, but getting them in the right places on the cockpit cover might be harder. Unless you're going to save a lot of money going direct to Great Lakes, you might consider letting your dealer handle this for you.
