Yep heading out shortly! Going to test prop after drilling vent holes and adjusting the cup. Should help get the boat up to speed.

Should be a nice day!

What are you installing? I have a clarion amp ( $50 off eBay) Polk speakers ($130 on line) for the cockpit and the wake tower speaker pods ( $80 brand new off eBay!!) I just need a decent head unit that won't kill the budget. Been looking for a reasonable marine head unit but just can't seem to find a Bluetooth head unit with preamp out under $200?

Heading out around midday. 21 Deg. Probably stick around the north end of the bay for a change. Insurance company said I can go 2 days early (and no extra charge). Serviced this week and ready to go.

Hope the boat goes better for you Mark.

Cheers

Spent the weekend in Paynesville. Love this place, it is a boating paradise! Cruised the canals sipping Cappuccinos, then headed out for a ski. We then had a pick-nick on 90 mile beach. We were the only footprints in the sand for as far as we could see. Kids fished but caught nothing, well actually just a few jellyfish but were just as excited.
Rounded off having fish and chips on the boat as the sun went down. Perfect Day.

Yep is is one of our favourite places to boat, and we just hire a cabin when we come down. The drive is 4 hours from the city and the roads not too bad. Once you are there it's like a little piece of paradise. We try to get down here a few times a year.

Raymond Island has a good population of Koalas, and is it a great afternoon stroll. The ferry is free if you walk but if you have a boat there are public jetty's.

In Paynesville there are plenty jetties, a great coffee shop/restaurant right on the bank next to the jetty. I love the cannals as well. We boat into town, buy our groceries, grab a coffee, fish and chips etc, and head out to some nice spot for lunch.

90 mile beach seems to go on forever....

There are plenty places to stay but it get busy so book early... Sounding like a tourism advert...

Agree Mark, it is an awesome spot.
Stayed in a caravan park years ago that had its own ramp. Went for a cruise down to Metung etc.

Did Raymond Island on the bikes.

I have heard it can get pretty windy, but didn't experience that.

Good to see you getting use out of your boat.

Cheers, Craig

Gippsland Lakes. What a beautiful place.
You can spend weeks cruising the lakes and rivers.
Plenty of places to stop for a feed. We have booked in at "The Moorings Resort" at Metung for the Cup Day long weekend.
Will have the kids and wives etc with us this time.

Cheers, Graham
