Hey Deafwish, How was your time in Paynesville? We spent it on Lake Eildon and had a ripper. Water levels are at 65% so lots of trees but still plenty water. |

Paynesville was great, thanks! The novelty of having the boat penned out the front of the house (Captains Cove) was awesome! We did a day trip to Lakes Entrance and stopped at Metung Hotel for an awesome Parma! It chopped up pretty bad on the way back to Paynesville, but with a bit of trim and good skippering, we got back safely and wet. We'll definitely be going back down there when the weather's warmer. Thanks for the advice!

Went for a early morning ski (7am) at Murray Bridge this morning great morning as usual. Noticed that I now have 300 hours on the engine over 6 years. Was wondering how many hours everyone does each year on average ? |

Might ask you for a few pointers when we do. Been there a few times on business and it looks awesome! We used to average about 120 - 150 hours a year. A bit less this year cause we ski at a ski club and use our boat for hanging out with friends and family, should do about 80 to 100 hours this year. Spent some time at Brett Sands Water Sports this year and he had over 1000 hours so far.... THIS YEAR  , He reckons he does about 1300 hour in a full year so he buys a new boat every year..

I was told by a dealer here a few years back that the average hours on pleasure boats around here (Texas) is around 30 to 35 hours. Fishing boats were higher. When we were renting a lake house we would hit 30 hrs in a week. |

He runs a Malibu FXI (Sponsored I think) but it gets a service about once a month. I reckon it is a bit like a taxi that runs 1M kms, it is always hot, and gets driven by a professional and never abused cause it is their livelihood. |

There is a group of us who love to ski and are willing to get up early to get some glass water. Typically we are finished by around 10 am, then it's off to Mc Cues bakery in Murray bridge. Due to Murray Bridges close proximity to Adelaide (80km) it is often used for a day trip. Hope this helps |

Boat shows: Just spent two days at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and the Gold Coat International Marine Expo. Managed to do a tour of the Riviera Manufacturing plant while there. 26deg C (77F) was a change from melbourne's 14deg. Off over 600 boats on display, FW only represented with a 265 Sundowner, h210, h190, h180 from what I remember. Would have done well with a few Vistas as there was hardly a boat between 25-35 feet, besides a few large fishing vessels. Anyway back to the cold... |

Sadly I missed Sanctuary Cove.. Was freezing my ass of in New Zealand... I had planned to be in Brisbane last week to catch the show after business, but will now be going next week. But 3 weeks to go until the Melbourne Boat Show 12 - 15 June! http://www.melbourneinternationalboatshow.com.au/ JV Marine has one of the biggest stands. I wonder if they will have a full range of Four Winns there. Salesman told me that USA imports will be about 30% more expensive since the AU$ drop. The 2015 FW 200RS with 260hp V8 MPI was now AU85K (US$64K) base model with out options, so they are expecting a drop in sales... no way hey? |

Weather is slowly coming around. We have been out the last few weekends to blow the cobwebs off the ski's... Water temp was 12 degrees on the 12 and 19th Sept, and up to 14 degrees on this last Saturday. Love my wetsuit! Heading out at Lake Narracan for a ski... glass water, too cold for any other boats..... perfect!  Had a nice long barefoot accross the lake on Saturday with the setting sun, lovin it!!
