Only the second day I am able to use our new to us boat and the trim gauge has gone in the crapper. I made sure when I bought the boat that I checked out the entire dash. Knowing the issues with the VDO dash. I know there are a few members that have done the dash replacement...anyone have any pictures? |

Wet Doggg, I promised to post these earlier and didn't. I apologize. Here is a close up of the new dash and then a smaller image of it installed. It's truly a 30 minute job from start to finish. ![]() ![]() |

If it's a Volvo it could well be the trim sender on the pivot housing, it is known to fail often. So before condemming the dash gauge, check out the sending uint. It's not easy to replace (because of how the wire is snaked through the transom assembly) so many do not bother to fix it. I have a similar sender on my old OMC Cobra and have already replaced it twice. My mechanic did a modification allowing the wire to snake through the outside of the transom assembly making the replacement an easy job. |

Wow. What a nice cluster. The fake wood offends some but I quite like it. Farias look sweet black-faced. What a nice upgrade. ![]() |

Thanks for the pictures. I really like that replacement dash and from what I have heard very easy to install. Yes it is a Volvo, 5.7 GSi and I will check the trim sender before I do anything. |

Nothing. I am not going to mess with it now. I have really never used my trim gauge anyway in any boat I have owned. I know where the drive it by feel and sound of how the boat is performing so in essence it is not a priority. |
