I recently purchased a 97 horizon rx 18'. I am not sure what a button is for inside the cockpit on the drivers side down below the throttle. It has a triangle with a light bulb inside it. It is all black and has a small button to push in. Does anyone happen to know what this is for?. I recently replaced my battery and now the boat will not start. All the guages get power and the rpms shoot up when i turn the key. But the motor will not crank over. It sounds as if its trying to start but it does nothing. |

Could it be the safety switch? There should be a safety lanyard that clips on a switch with a button in the middle. If the button isn't pushed in the engine will not start. If the lanyard is missing try holding the button in and cranking the engine. |
