I'd love to know how to do this as well. Let me guess, you have slop in the steering wheel? If so, you're not alone.  |

I see it's a worm drive so no cable adjustment. And the hydraulic actuator has 2 inches of play built into the system as it changes direction. I guess I have to see if there is play in the leg to confirm a worn actuator. What a system! So many places for built in slop.  |

iirc there's some amount of play built into the system. Every sterndrive boat I've ever driven, including a new H190, has done it. I wouldn't worry about it unless it's excessive - like turning the wheel from 12-6 and it doesn't move the drive.  |
