Well added to my list of things ive fixed or need fixing the link on the throttle assembly broke that puts it into gear so currently i get no prop movement the motor just revs up. Is it possible to replace that part i have a pic if needed. If not anyone have a link where can i get a new one that would work. thanks again

sorry for late response, but haven't logged in for a bit... Never heard of the throttle itself getting stuck in this manner, but its probably possible. Does the idle push button on the throttle feel stuck? if not, it might actually be that your coupler is shot, or prop spline stripped? prop is easy to check... pulling the lower unit is harder...

I just went through this in reverse it wouldn't disengage. If you got the same throttle assembly I got the pdf for taking it apart. and know where to buy the part. Pic of what you got would help. It is a little 15 dollar part but massive trama getting it in LOL.

What engine set up do you have, Merc or Volvo?
It sounds like the cable that shifts the drive into and out of gear got disconnected where it connects to the control. You may have to pull the control out from the side panel to see what's going on with it.
I still have the original OMC control on my boat. Still works just like it always has.
