I’ve not had the boat long, I do not remember if the trim control on the drivers throttle control body is hot/active all the time (even with key off). It is now, after the local dealer installed a transom trim switch for me, and I’m wondering if that might be wired wrong providing power to that front switch circuit.

I’ve accidentally hit that driver’s throttle trim switch twice while boat on the trailer since I got the boat back. My previous SeaRay required the key to be able to trim/trailer the LU.

2007 FW H220

Thanks.

I think it depends on the boat/engine. I have a tohatsu with a throttle trim switch that is only active with the key on but the switch on the motor is always hot. I like having it hot all the time on the throttle much better. You can beach easier. I have to turn the engine off then turn the key back on to trim up and of course I always remember to turn the key off. nope... LOL
