Is there any adjustment for throttle friction? Mine will not stay in position when the water gets a little rough. |

This has been covered before; here is a link to one answer: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=173&p=1224&hilit=Shifter+tension+adjustment#p1224 Regards, Graham |

Thanks for the link -- I did not get it on my search, however they have changed the design and tried to make it impossible to adjust the screw. Here is what I had to do on my 2006 H190 (none of this was covered in the FW or Volvo manual): 1 Pop the round plastic cover off the shift/throttle lever 2 This allows access to the flat square plastic cover. Remove the kill switch in the lower left corner if you have one. The flat cover can be popped off if you use a screwdriver to disengage the four plastic catches in the center 3* remove the throttle lever 4* remove the yellow aluminum plate (four screws, which also hold the shift/throttle assembly on) 5* the friction screw is about 10:00, and you have to cut a slot or hole in the aluminum plate to get access to it when running 6 replace yellow plate and throttle lever 7 adjust friction, and then replace the two plastic covers. *you could drill or slot the aluminum plate in place and eliminate these steps |

That's "progress" for you; I'm surprised they didn't design it so that a special tool, only available to dealers was required! Graham |

They should have just used OMC's old design, mine is 20 years old and works perfectly! |
