Chris, YOU are the man!! What a labor of love and a gorgeous boat. My hat's off to you for doing the engine right, and not ruining the whole project with a dumbass engine overhaul. The trailer's a beaut too! |

Hats of to you Chris . From what I can gather you will have a very reliable classic boat for the next decade or three .Well done Ardy South Oz |

It looks absolutely great! I love the old style boats and what I notice is that they tend to have more room in them for the same length, than the newer style ones. I wish I could get my gelcoat to look as good as that, it's the three tone red, grey and white. At this point I am going to have to wetsand to bring it back, that's the only way. But my interior is pretty much all new, so at least that looks good. That's really a boat to be proud of, and very distinctive, I bet you don't see many like it, espcially here in LI (salt water). |

Fabulous Job! That looks better than new. Four Winns should put that on thier site as a testimonial of the "timelessness" of the design of these older boats. I have a 1985 Horizons 195 Cuddy that I am restoring a bit. Hopefully it turns out 1/2 as good as yours. What dod you use to vinyl dye the interior? I want to domy side panels but it is the tuape color (beige is close). Thanks again for the great pics and enjoy that beauty of a boat! |

What a fantastic looking boat. That is one hell of an achievement. It is something you will enjoy and can be very proud of at the same time. The colour combinations are very nice and the boat really stands out. Congratulations on a job well done! |

Thanks for all the great comments. It means a great deal after all the time (3 weeks vacation on it) and money spent. It truly is a "timeless" design. It will hold its own in good-looks and performance against newer boats in its class. The dye I used is a great product from SEM. You can buy it in a spray can or order it by the quart for your spray gun like I did. It is available at local autobody supply shops. I had it color matched. Gave the guy a seat cushion and he matched it perfectly! I actually did have to wet sand the gelcoat to get the white clouds out. Again, thanks for the replies!! Here are some more PICS--Check back for more from time to time!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
