Yesterday I was winterizing my boat, when I pulled the plug in the manifold on the driver side of the boat, I got water and little chunks of what looked like flaky metal. Kind of looks like little rocks too, but there was a bit of a rust color on a few of the chunks. All the other drain plugs just let water out of the block, no funny stuff. Anyone ever had this or know what this could be?? |

Try to wiggle the water pump pully if it does you may have a water pump going. Hope this helps Gregg |

Little rocks more than likely got sucked up in some very shallow water. They might have loosened some internal metal as well, thus causing the "shavings" you see. |
