Thanks Aussie ... I found a operators manual for the engine that had some helpful stuff in it ... but said to take it to a dealor, which is not a good option for me. That said, I am also a do it yourself'r search on in the manual and found some information on winter storage. It basically said to add fuel stabilizer and drain the water, but nothing else (like adding anti-freeze or fogging he motor). What is yous (et all) best practice for winterization in these areas? i.e. can you just drain the water and not add anti-freeze? Don't fog? Anything else I am missing? Thanks again! |

In Australia, we do not do winterization at all. Never gets below zero anywhere that I know of. In Melbourne where I live, (down south - the cold part!) min winter overnight temp is probably around 40F. Check out this thread in the forum http://www.smwebhead.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2466 where winterization is discussed in greater detail for DIY's. |
