| Post subject: | Raw water intake pump |
When they were winterizing my boat, we notices that my raw water intake pump is starting to leak. Boat guy says the part number is 3857794 and is listed at about $275.00 by Volvo. Does anyone know of an OEM part that is available and possibly costs a little less. I have a few expensive jobs to do this winter so am intersted in some cost savings. Cheers Dave 1998 Horizon 200 |

Last Spring while prepping my H200 to sell, I too needed one of these pumps. It cost me around $340 Canadian to buy it and then I installed it myself. It only takes about fifteen minutes to replace but you are better off to remove all the rear seating and engine enclosure so you won't get to frustrated when you drop tools in the bilge. I assume you mean the water pump on the front of the engine not the lower engine driven fresh water intake pump? I got mine from the local OMC dealer. |
