Today we hit a home run, a full problem free day on the lake! Cant say I have been able to do this in a while! Finally sunburnt and content with an good day.

We ran down the St Clair river, and anchored @ Gull Isle, home of jobby nooner, if you are from MI you will know what I am talking about.

The next big thing is to get the damn stereo installed this week, in desperate need of tunes...

Thanks for looking,

Great job, Rob. We had the Manistee in Holland about a week ago. It was an excellent day over here, as well. Check out my post called "Taking things to new heights" in Boating Banter. My WeiserBud is the one on the right in the aerial shots.

Congratulations on finally getting all the bugs worked out.

I can't believe your actually in the water! Lake Ontario is still a balmy 60F. You won't find my fat white *ss in the water until probably July 15th.

Awesome!!!!

Ya, us inland lake boaters are missing sooooo much, no doubt about that! I am glad you finally got to enjoy a full problem free day on the water....and have the sunburn to prove it!

Good for you Rob....the boat looks great and you all look like you're having a great time....once you get a new to you older boat sorted out...it can be just as reliable as some newer boats...sometimes even more so because the ignition/fuel systems are simpler and easier to repair....here most people who have smaller boats prefer outboards (salt water region) although about 1/3 of the smaller boats are I/Os..and I stick with it because it's easy for me to maintain and repair...the new high tech OBs run great....(imagine a 2 stroke that's as quiet as a 4 stroke and does not smoke) but if something goes wrong...you're not fixing it in the driveway with a multi meter, feeler gauges and a timing light like I do.....

Glad you were able to have a great day on the water too! Great pictures too (next time I need to remember fresh batteries in the camera). It ended up being one of the rare all around perfect weekends for boating in MI. I actually prefer the inland lake boating though. Of course as I'm looking at my depth gauge on Saturday reading 200' on an inland lake :D I need to plan my inland waterway trip now. I'm thinking of putting in on Crooked Lake or Crooked River and running up to Cheboygan, spend the night and cruise back the next day. The trouble is finding 2 good days in a row.

Nice pics. Now that the bugs are sorted out , all thats left to do is use it , enjoy it , and of course for all our benefit , photograph it and share it . Glad you had a great day.
