My boat is red and the wife really wanted a yellow one, but i could not pass up the price we got on ours. There is a 2008 yellow H200ss for sale not to far from me. Waiting to see what they will do on trade and what options that one has.

Keep us posted!

Would you ever consider going to a 210 or 220? Might be a good time....

Want to stick with the 200. Fits in my garage nice. Any clue what a 2007 H200SS with 115 hrs is worth on trade?

Not what it should be. Check out eBay, Yacht Auction, and Boat trader for some values, as well as NADA.

Congrats to your wife on letting you do this! I have to let my wife have a baby before I can get a new boat!

Wife is not letting me do anything. Mearly waying out an option. She rally likes the yellow and they have it listed for $28995. I'm thinking they would budge a little on that price and I have seen the same boat as mine selling for more than $30,000. I mean if they would give me around 22-23 for mine it might be a option to trade. I am assuming I can get a better interest rate on a new boat vs. used right? I bought mine used and think I am paying around 7%.

I see what you mean. What are you willing to pay for a year newer and different color? That's what it really boils down to, you won't be paying very much sales tax if you trade yours in.

Just checked NADA and average retail is $30,370. This is why I am curious why they have there 2008 listed at $28,995. Did I mention theres has a 5.7L 300HP merc. so I would also gain an extra 30HP. Not sure who much difference it would make, but bigger engine never hurts. Any opinions on Merc VS. VP engine?

I also wanted the Yellow. Think is is an awesome color. Like I said I couldn't pass up the price on my current boat. Only paid $22,000 for it end of last year. I was told it was a repo that the dealer was selling for the bank. I have made a few upgrade to it though. Added spare on trailer, stereo upgrade and added dual battery set-up.

You had better buy one now because once the little ones come around you won't have any money. If you think a boat is expensive, wait until you have a kid (or four, like me).

Is is really worth 5-10 grand out of your pocket for 1 year newer and a different color?

Yeouch!

But if it's that important -- that yellow does look sharp! And an extra 30hp never hurts...

As for Volvo or merc... I'm a Volvo guy - that being said... I would want digital shift capabilities - I would pick a boat that has that over the brand.

If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

Volvo/Merc - figure out which one is best supported in your area in terms of shops, mechanics, parts, etc. In most areas, that'll be Merc.

I like Volvo 8)

We have one, biologically he's not mine, but no one can tell, and they aren't that much $$$ comparitivly speaking.

I had a Merc, now a Volvo, each have thier pluses and minuses. I wouldn't let it keep me away from a boat, they are both GM blocks.

Actually Mercury has there home plant and office just 25 miles south of me. My neighbor works there, and they are laying off a lot of people right now due to the economy. He gave me a lot of crap when I cam home with a VP in my boat. Oh and as far as the kids go I do have 1 and 1 on the way. Day care is a killer, but other than that they are not that expensive.

The day care for my daughter is $1700/month and we are only allowed to deduct $7000/yr on taxes for child care (on the lower earner in the household). Oh well, she is learning and happy and I don't worry about her there.

It's only money.
