Is this possible? I have a FW 180 2006 with the back to back on the passenger side. Ideally, I'd like to either buy another bucket seat and replace the B2B OR buy a bucket seat w/ bolster and swap the standard driver bucket to the passenger side and install the bolster seat on the drivers side.

I know this would probably require drilling on the passenger side. Also, I guess this would expose the B2B mounting when the carpet is removed.

Any advice? Is this 'doable'? It would free up some space on the boat!

I saw some bucket seats on Ebay with the flip up bolsters. Check there on prices. Not sure how the carpet would look after the B2B is pulled out. I know I had B2B seating in my old boat and we love the buckets a whole lot more. They are a lot more comfortable and they hold you into the seat better which is important in our area as we get some pretty rough water.

Was your boat available originally with 2 bucket seats? If so, if FW deemed any local reinforcement in the floor was necessary for the pedestal screws, the chance are they put it in all boats. If they didn't need reinforcement, then a new one can be screwed into the floor like the other one. you'll need to drill a suitable sized hole to suit the screws, and countersink the gelcoat to prevent it cracking. The pedestals are screwed directly onto the floor with self tapping screws, with no machine thread inserts. As you say, the original screw holes holes from the bench seat will be exposed and should be filled with something like thickened epoxy. Another alternatice would be to refit the original screws, if they don't interfere with the new ones for the pedestal.. You will also have a hole in the carpet!

Great Lakes Skipper were selling off some FW bucket seats a few weeks or months back. maybe they still have one that will match the original in your boat.

I've got a brand new Four Winns bucket seat in my basement still in the box. I'll have to look at the model number to see which one it is and will take a pic if you're interested in buying it. It was sent to me as replacement to my seat but was the wrong one. They told me to keep it and sent me another.

I don't think it has a flip up bolster so I think its a stock seat for a 190H.

Hey guys great responses thank you. I almost never have carpet in the boat so it not fitting snugly around the bucket seat isn't a big big deal after pulling the B2B out. I'll have to see where the B2B bolts line up in relation to where the new holes would go. That is a big deal as I want to maintain the factory look.

Graham R, yes the H180 did have a bucket seat option also a bolster upgrade too. Your logic on the reinforcement and instructions on how to go about the replacement are very helpful!

Cincy Aquaholic, it appears that the H180 and the H190 seats have the same part numbers according to the FW parts book. Sunsport models (mine is standard) have slightly different part numbers on their seats. Yes, please send me the part number of your seat and I'll see if it'll work. It appears the port side has a different part number as does the mounting bracket. But again, let me know what you have as I might be interested.

I forgot that I don't have the part number because the number was correct for the seat they were supposed to send. They just packed the wrong seat in the box. But here's the pics of it. Make me an offer I can't refuse.

Anytime you are drilling into the deck install things, you have to be very careful because of the fact that the depth of the space under the floor is much less as you go from the center of the deck to the outside edge near the chines of the boat. When I redid the deck on my '88 H-200, they had a 1/2 plywood deck with a 3/4 in piece underneath to provide strength. I made sure all the wood was coated in thinned epoxy and all the mounting screws were bedded in 4200. I do like the dual buckets better than the back to back seats.
