Post subject:  Storage Cover

I am curious what people are doing for a Storage cover for their Horizons.

I bought the boat a couple of months ago -- and since we are long-term trailerboaters it is on the trailer at my house. I am now just using the bow cover and cockpit cover -- which of course do nothing for the fiberglass in the Florida sun. I never tow with the cover on the boat -- this will strickly be a storage cover.

My issue is what to do with the Four Winns Bimini -- it doesn't seem to be very easily "foldable" to get it out of the way ---

Do people ---

1 -- disassemble the bimini somehow and then use a regular storage cover? (if so what is the easy way to do that)
2--- customize a cover to clear the four bimini support poles
3-- maybe Four Winns makes a stock storage cover that solves this (and is reasonable priced?)

thanks in advance for your replies

I do, pretty much, the same thing you do. Our Funship is sitting in our driveway on the trailer, cockpit and bow cover attached. I've been looking at covers at Overton's but the deck boat covers state it's for use on boats without windshields and makes no mention of the bimini. So, for now I have not cover.

Taking the bimini off isn't all that difficult with two people, really. If you were to customize a cover to go around the poles you'd create a seam where water could enter.

I planned on just removing the bimini once I can find a cover.
