Just joined and I am enjoying all the wonderful post and also info.
1992 Horizon w/200 hrs.
Just checking to see what you think about a very slow leak in my tilt system.
When out of the water, with outdrive all the way up, after about two days it is all the way down.
It didn't do this the first two years that I owned the boat and I also use a support bar when driving to and from lake.
Some guys that I work with say don't worry about it but I do.
Any comments on this and also where to start with Diag?
Thanks

I had the same issue on my 1991 170 Freedom. Mine was that the trim cylinder seals were worn and needed to be resealed, but I was waiting for them to get to the point were they leaked, but after 4 years of just using a support bar on it they never leaked and I sold the boat before ever doing anything with it.

Thanks for the reply. This is absolutley the only thing wrong with this boat. I bought it four years ago for $5000 and have had four great years with it. As soon as my wife gets out of school (1 more year!) we are going to get a new or slightly used horizon 220. Have a safe year!!!!!
